Frequently asked questions
Is there a free plan, or do I have to pay from day one?
Matrixify offers a free Demo plan that lets you import and export up to 10 items per file across all data types — products, collections, customers, orders, pages, and more — with unlimited metafields. Paid plans start at $20/month (Basic), $50/month (Big), and $200/month (Enterprise), each increasing item limits and processing speed. You can switch back to the Demo plan at any time by cancelling your paid subscription.
What kinds of data can I actually import and export — is it just products?
Matrixify goes far beyond products. It supports bulk import and export of Products, Collections, Customers, B2B Companies, Discounts, Draft Orders, Orders, Payouts, Pages, Blogs, Redirects, Navigation Menus, Files, Metaobjects, and Metafields — all in a single app. You can also update specific fields in bulk without re-importing everything, or bulk-delete items when needed.
Can I migrate my store from WooCommerce, Magento, or another platform?
Yes — Matrixify is purpose-built for cross-platform migrations. It supports migrations from WooCommerce/WordPress, Magento, BigCommerce, Lightspeed, and other platforms. You can see and adjust any value in the spreadsheet before importing, giving you full control over the migrated data.
Will it slow down my store or affect the storefront while an import is running?
Matrixify runs as a background data-management tool and does not affect your storefront's theme or customer-facing performance. You can monitor import and export jobs in real time and even queue multiple jobs so they run sequentially without manual intervention. However, processing speed on lower-tier plans is slower due to fewer parallel threads; the Enterprise plan offers 10+ parallel threads for significantly faster throughput.
What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?
Your store data is safe after uninstalling. Matrixify stores all data directly in your Shopify store's database, not on its own servers, so nothing is lost when you remove the app. Any running or scheduled jobs will continue to apply the last paid plan's limits until the end of the current billing period.
Is there a steep learning curve — can a non-technical merchant set this up?
There is a moderate learning curve, particularly around formatting column names correctly in your spreadsheet files. Multiple merchants note it takes some initial effort to get set up, but Matrixify provides comprehensive documentation, video tutorials, and an AI assistant (Maibo) that answers questions about commands and column formats in real time. Once dialled in, most merchants find it straightforward to use regularly without developer help.
What do other merchants say about the support team?
Support is consistently highlighted as one of Matrixify's strongest points, with a 4.9-star rating across 975 reviews on the Shopify App Store (96% five-star). Merchants praise the team for quick, knowledgeable responses, and the AI chatbot (Maibo) is specifically called out as 'money' for instantly answering command and formatting questions. The developer, ITissible, is also known for shipping requested features rapidly — one merchant noted a filter feature was released the day after they left feedback about it.
