However, it is not compatible with headless or custom storefronts (e.g. Next.js or Hydrogen), and it may have issues with some third-party apps that render content outside of the theme layer, such as GemPages or Weglot's location detection feature.
What happens if I uninstall the app — will my store be left in a broken state?
You must disable all locks or use the in-app "Disable Locksmith" button before removing the app from your apps list, because Shopify doesn't allow apps to automatically clean up their theme code upon deletion. If you skip this step and delete the app first, you'll need to temporarily reinstall it to trigger the cleanup. Locksmith won't modify your theme at all unless locks are configured, so stores with no active locks are unaffected.
How long does setup take — can I do it without a developer?
