Frequently asked questions

Is there a free plan, or do I have to pay from day one?

There is no permanent free plan for regular merchants — paid plans start at $39/month (Basic), $69/month (Professional), and $99/month (Premium). However, all three plans come with a 14-day free trial so you can test the app before committing. Annual billing saves 10%, and Shopify Partners/development stores get all features free.

Do I need to build a second Shopify store to run wholesale alongside retail?

No — that's the core value of Wholesale Hub. It works entirely within your existing store. Wholesale customers log in with their accounts and automatically see their tagged wholesale pricing, while retail customers see regular prices. No duplicate store or extra Shopify subscription needed.

How is wholesale pricing set up — is it complicated, or can I do it myself without a developer?

Setup is tag-based and designed to be merchant-friendly without developer help. You assign customer tags to wholesale buyers, then attach percentage discounts or custom per-variant prices to those tags. Pricing displays on product pages and applies automatically at cart. The app also offers a demo store, help center articles, and live chat support to guide you through setup.

What features do I actually need to pay extra for — what's locked behind higher-tier plans?

The $39/month Basic plan covers percentage discounts, quick order form, order minimums, and manual orders. Custom prices per variant and net payment terms (Net 15/30) require the $69/month Professional plan. Product visibility/locking (hiding wholesale products from retail customers) and priority live chat support are only available on the $99/month Premium plan.

What happens to all my wholesale settings and data if I uninstall the app?

Uninstalling Wholesale Hub permanently deletes all your custom settings, discount tags, custom prices, and configurations — and they cannot be restored, even by the support team. Orbit strongly advises against uninstalling unless absolutely necessary, and recommends screenshotting your setup beforehand if you do plan to remove it.

Does it work with my existing theme, Shopify POS, and international/multi-currency stores?

Yes — the app is built to work out of the box with your existing Shopify theme, including drawer carts and mobile layouts. It is also compatible with Shopify POS and Shopify Markets (multi-currency). However, some third-party apps that also modify pricing, checkout, or storefront rendering (e.g., page builders, subscription apps) can conflict and should be tested carefully before going live.

What do other merchants say about the support team — is help easy to get?

Support is consistently the most praised aspect of the app. With 675 reviews and a 4.8-star rating, merchants frequently highlight fast response times, knowledgeable staff, and proactive issue-solving (including spotting setup problems before they affect customers). Live chat is available on the Premium plan; all other plans receive email and chat support through the app.
